Process: Fees
We believe in pricing our services fairly. We do not provide "free" initial plans or "free" ongoing planning services - often these "free" services come with hidden costs which may be significant and paid by the client. We also do not charge higher fees to our investment management clients and "throw in" initial or ongoing financial planning for "free". Since a large part of the planning effort is done in the initial stages, investment management clients may end up paying more over time to cover the cost of their "free" plan.
We believe clients should have a clear understanding of what they are paying and the services they are receiving. We believe that Financial Planning and Investment Management are different disciplines, and this is reflected in the way we service clients.
Financial Planning & Consulting:
The fee for an initial financial plan is based on the complexity of your situation and an estimate of how much time it will take to provide services to you. Half the fee is due when you sign the service agreement and the other half is due when your plan is delivered. Generally, the initial fee starts at $2,000 for a relatively simple financial situation.
The fee for ongoing financial planning services is also based on the complexity of your situation and an estimate of how much time it will take to provide services to you.
Hourly work for our clients is charged at $300/hr.
Investment Implementation / Management:
Advisor services are rendered for an annual fee between 0.5% and 1% based upon the client assets under management. Advisor services may also be provided on a fixed-fee basis.
